How did it all start?

Mamta has always been passionate about education and helping children reach their potential. With the knowledge from her experiences and education floating around inside of her, Mamta started to put the pieces of the puzzle together. She began creating programming with Applied Behavior Analysis informed principles for her private clients.

This idea grew into a vision which led Mamta to pursue a business apprenticeship with York Entrepreneurship Development Institute in 2017. With a passion project in her pocket and a thrive to learn more about business she got accepted into the apprenticeship and thus started her journey in creating a social enterprise. Nearing the end of her apprenticeship, she competed in an elevator pitch competition where she won 3rd place in the apprenticeship and a prize of $3000 to start her business.

With this prize, she developed Social Skills and Educational Development (SSkED) in 2018. Social Skills and Educational Development is definitely a passion project and continues to be as she builds her career as a Behaviour Analyst. She continues to create learning, as SSkEd has been running ever since, growing her clientele, encouraging learning and skill development, and making a difference in the lives of others.
