Our Mission

 SSkEd provides individualized support in social skill development and educational mirroring for young children, youth (Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 8) and adolescents of all learning needs, specializing in special needs and Individual Education Plans (IEP).




Our Values

Independence & Growth

At SSkEd we pride ourselves in making sure that our students feel as if they are growing towards independence. When skill building or filling in gaps it is so important to prepare students for success so that they can succeed independently with the tools that they have learned.

Self-Esteem & Confidence

At SSkEd, although there is a lot of teaching going on, there is a lot of encouragement as well. We feel it is important for students to feel prideful in the work that they do and confident in tackling the work and concepts handed to them. At SSkEd, due to the individualized support, students’ confidence and self-esteem grows stronger as they learn and are able to understand concepts.

Creativity

At SSkEd, we make sure creativity is being put into developing programs and skill teaching. Each child is unique in their own way and so should their learning. At SSkEd, we take the time to learn about each individual childs’ needs to find creative ways to improve their skillset and help them learn in the most effective way possible.
